Fire alarm and no one cares

In Auckland we where booked into Nomads. Which just is a lot of beds on 6 floors with little space in between. The kitchen is on the 7th floor.
While I was up there having just chucked my pasta into the pot an alarm sounded. – Probably just a smoke alarm because someone cooked the meat wrong.
So nobody cared much for some time until someone from the staff came in and shooed everyone out.
When I got out the fire department hat already arrived. But we had to wait until they checked the alarm out and declared it save to go back in. The source was a smoke alarm on the 6th floor … .
