Waterfalls in Iguaçu national park
The way to the visitor center was not to hard to find. Even though the best way is to go there by bus and there isn’t a timetable or anything else at the bus stops. I wasn’t even sure that I’m at the right stop.
Once at the park I got my ticket and took the ride into the park. Even though they offered a few I wasn’t in the mood for any additional tours in there. So I just did the plain self-service walking tour.
Getting of at the stop for the walk I came to the first viewing platform.
I wasn’t too impressed there. Yes there were some waterfalls and they were pretty high. But all the fuzz about that?
So I went on. The falls did too. It seemed like they didn’t want to stop. The pictures can not do the massive lenght any justice. And all the spray was good for some nice rainbows too. 🙂
At the end you get to go on a walkway over part of the river and get really wet because of all the water splashing on water. They sold rainparkas for those who preferred to stay dry.
At the end of the park is a restaurant and you can take the bus back to the entrance.
I decided to walk the way back I just came from and take a few more pictures. Still it was only 3 o’clock when I left the park.
