Flight to Salvador
This time the taxi ride was almost a no brainer as I had to get to the international airport to get my flight.
Fortunately there was a taxi waiting at the first taxi stop I knew and I was at the airport way ahead of time.
A word of advice for those traveling with GOL: They don’t do regular check-in anymore. So you can either do the online check-in or do a self-service check-in at the airport.
The terminals can be switched to english so that is not a problem though. Most of the more comfortable seats do cost extra. I opted not to pay. So no pictures from start or landing either.
The security check was very relaxed compared to my flights from Frankfurt and London but still existing. I’d say more on the level from before 9/11.
But it was only a national flight so this might be an exception.
In Salvador I was picked up by Bernhard, Michaela and Moranginho and after lunch they brought me to my hostel in Pelourinho.
