From the north island to the south island
New driver again and a trip with the ferry from Wellington to Picton in between the bus routes.
The first part was just from the hostel down to the ferry where we checked in our big bags and ourselfes onto the boat.
The 3.5 hour trip over was windy but the seas calm.
And once we where over the Cook Strait the scenery got very nice. Which might be one of the reasons for all the batches.
After finding the new freshly cleaned bus (the old one was left on the north island as a bus crossing is 1000$) we went on to Kaiteriteri. The small village is only a few kilometers from the Abel Tasman national park.
